As a registered member of the BAcC (British Acupuncture Council), we take cleanliness and the sterility of our treatment facilities extremely seriously. Our clinic is registered and certified by Kirklees council (in accordance with UK law) and, as registered members, our practice is bound by the professional code of conduct of the BAcC. Rest assured that we never ever reuse any medical supplies. We only ever use sterile, single-use, surgical grade disposable needles; each comes sealed in it's own sterile blister pack, complete with guide tube. As you'd expect these are handled and disposed of in line with stringent EU & UK legislation.

Why acupuncture?

Our Services

As client wellbeing is our foremost concern, a full consultation will be carried out before any treatment is offered. In certain circumstances, your doctor's written consent may be required prior to treatment and your therapist may discount certain options.

Therapeutic Acupuncture

We offer various forms of traditional Chinese acupuncture for therapeutic purposes; from pain relief to fertility treatments, from muscular to allergy disorders, from skin to bladder complaints, and many more...

Cosmetic Acupuncture

First used by Empresses in the Song Dynasty (960AD - 1279AD), cosmetic acupuncture is an entirely natural and holistic therapy that combats the signs of ageing; visibly improving skin condition and patient wellbeing.

Auricular Acupuncture

A form of acutherapy, governed by the notion that the ear is a microsystem which reflects the entire body; acupoints on the ear are treated using either needles, electrical stimulation, massage, magnets or seeds.

Electro-Acupuncture

A modern and extremely effective form of acupuncture, in which pulsating micro-electrical currents are passed between pairs of acupuncture needles, to further stimulate associated meridians.

Moxibustion

A traditional Chinese remedy involving the controlled burning of Moxa (a herbal extract from the 'Mugwort' plant); it is famed for it's ability to warm and simultaneously induce the smooth flow of blood and Qi.

Reflexology

A non-invasive complementary therapy, involving the targeted application of pressure to acupoints on the hands and feet; based on the guiding principle that specific points correspond with different areas of the body.

Cupping

An ancient therapeutic practice in which a vacuum is created within small sterile cups carefully positioned at key points on the skin; cupping promotes increased blood flow to localised areas in order to promote self-healing.

Gua Sha

This therapeutic practice takes it's name from the Chinese word for 'scraping'; a smooth edged instrument is stroked gently over lubricated skin, releasing toxins whilst stimulating blood flow and promoting self-healing.

Cosmetic therapy

Cosmetic acupuncture is a form of Traditional Chinese Medicine; involving the insertion of tiny, ultra-fine sterile needles, into the dermis at key points on the face and body…

The practice is based on 3 key principles:

1. The Healing Response

Cosmetic treatments work by stimulating blood supply to the skin; improving dermal circulation and plumping the dermis. Which in turn revitalises your skin's natural glow and radiance; minimising fine lines, wrinkles and folds in the process.

2. The Healing Cycle

In direct response to minor skin trauma, our bodies produce an increased level of the natural protein know as collagen. The beneficial by-product of this 'repair cycle' is improved cell regeneration, and an increase in skin strength and elasticity.

3. Improved Hydration & Absorption

Micro perforations created along the meridians & lines being treated, remain open for a short while, giving us an opportunity to apply rejuvenating serums and moisturisers. As a result these are more readily absorbed into the upper layers of the dermis.

Cosmetic acupuncture is an entirely natural and holistic therapy; a safe alternative to more 'invasive' treatments, it works with your body... not against it (to redress the signs of ageing).…
